About
Good Luck Valley is a 2D, story-driven, adventure-platformer that follows Anari, a young and adventurous girl, on an emotionally charged journey through the Spirit World.
Confused and heartbroken after the death of her mother, Anari is swept away on a journey across The Valley, a world straight out of the fairytales her mother used to read to her. One where the forest grows dense with a mysterious magic and spirits roam freely.
But a darkness has taken root, looming in the shadows of The Valley. Invasive white lotuses, known as Anguish Lotuses, are sprouting all over. Their roots drinking up the forest's magic with a thirst that can not be quenched.
As Anari, use her athletic movement and a versatile mushroom mechanic to explore The Valley, make friends with spirits, and decompose the invasive Anguish Lotuses, freeing this world from the shackles of evil.
Gameplay
Explore
Use Anari’s modern platforming movement and bouncy mushroom to explore all the nooks and crannies in the Valley.
Make Friends
Get to know all the spirits that call The Valley home! Talk to them, feed them, and show them love. In return they will help you when you most need it.
Decompose
Use Anari’s Mushroom to decompose the roots that strangle the forest. And one by one rip up all the Anguish Lotus’s that plague the Valley.
Aesthetics
We draw inspiration from the immersive realism and creative worldbuilding of Studio Ghibli’s Spirited Away. We are largely inspired by the reactive environment and character design of Team Cherry’s Hollow Knight, as well as the breathtaking lighting, stunning color palette, and use of parallax to create depth in the game world in Nomada Studios Neva.

Had the opportunity to meet the team at GDC 2025, and again at GameFest 2025, as well as play the demo at both! The developers are all super friendly and super passionate about their work, and it really shows in Good Luck Valley. The art, mechanics, and narrative all work together super well, and leave you wanting more!
